This is Marcelle and Emmelline. Marcelle is trying to confess to being a werewolf and Emmelline is trying to interrupt him to say she loves him no matter what. Listen, Emmelline! Marcelle is a beast! He will always be a beast! And his love as such will not always be tender... His arm communicates the gnarled tension of his secret, and the outreached finger is his plantive call for silence and acceptance and... and... love!
This is mixed media because it was done using fiber-tip pen, watercolor, and acrylic ink. I don't think the green ink looks so well, but I wanted it to be opaque. Green is the color of healthy, natural desire in GR. |
